Ages: 13-18 (accepting twelve year olds if they are turning thirteen before the end of semester, and accepting 19 year olds if they are turning 19 during the class/production)

The Miracle Worker tells the unforgettable true story of Helen Keller and her determined teacher, Annie Sullivan—a fierce clash of wills that blossoms into one of the most moving partnerships ever portrayed on stage. Trapped in a secret, silent world, unable to communicate, young Helen is violent and spoiled, treated by her family as subhuman. Only Annie sees a mind and spirit waiting to be rescued from Helen's dark, tortured silence. Through A Place For Us Productions’ unique mentorship program, teen actors will have the unique opportunity to learn side-by-side with our seasoned performers—observing their process, sharpening technique, and building confidence through collaboration. Under the direction of Alexandra Rovirosa, students will explore the emotional truth, physical storytelling, and professional rehearsal discipline that define master craftsmanship in theatre.
Whether your goal is to grow as an artist, challenge yourself creatively, or simply be part of a story that moves audiences to their feet, this class offers the space to rise, learn, and connect.
