We are a for-profit theatre company based in Kansas City, Missouri, dedicated to creating a safe, challenging, and uplifting space where actors can grow, discover their unique voice, and experience the joy of belonging to a creative family. Our mission goes beyond putting on shows—we are committed to mentorship, master craftsmanship, and artistic excellence in everything we do.

At A Place For Us Productions, we believe that theatre is a powerful tool for transformation. Through our unique leadership model, experienced mentors take on guiding roles both onstage and off, modeling professional standards while creating room for emerging artists to step into their full potential. We aim to cultivate a space where serious performers can be nurtured, challenged, and inspired—developing not only their talent but their confidence, discipline, and passion for storytelling.

As a child and teenager, I found escape and connection by sitting in my room listening to cast albums and watching videos of musicals online, dreaming of the day I’d find that kind of belonging. In 2014, I was cast in my first show, and the experience changed my life. I found a family—one that continues to shape me—and I saw how theatre could transform a life from the inside out.

For many, local theatre is their only exposure to the arts. We don’t take that lightly. We’re passionate about offering productions and experiences that ignite imagination, elevate local talent, and honor the responsibility of telling stories with heart and excellence.
